Ronbar Laboratories was founded more than 50 years ago by Sheldon “Shep” Borgen, also known to many as “Shelly,” whose determination, tenacity, and commitment to his customers built the foundation of the company we are today.
Shep understood from the beginning that success in the chemical industry was about more than simply making and selling a product. It was about understanding the customer, providing a product that performed, standing behind it, and being there when the customer needed you. Through years of hard work and persistence, he built Ronbar from the ground up and established a well-known and respected name within the industry.
That same philosophy continues today.
LEADERSHIP TODAY
After working alongside his father and learning the business firsthand, Barry Borgen took over leadership of Ronbar Laboratories and now serves as the company's President. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Barry brings extensive knowledge of chemical products, applications, customer needs, and the day-to-day challenges businesses face.
Barry has built his own reputation on honesty, reliability, industry knowledge, and personal service. Whether working with a longtime customer or a new business placing its first order, the approach remains the same: listen to what the customer needs, provide the right solution, and follow through.
MORE THAN A CHEMICAL SUPPLIER
Today, Ronbar Laboratories manufactures and supplies a broad range of professional cleaning and specialty chemical solutions for commercial and institutional customers. Our products serve businesses across industries including commercial laundry, commercial kitchens, commercial housekeeping, healthcare, schools, camps, laundromats, building maintenance, and other commercial operations.
From detergents, sanitizers, degreasers, and deodorizing products to warewashing, laundry, and general maintenance chemicals, our goal is to provide dependable products that deliver consistent results and real value.
We also understand that every operation is different. Our team, including Barry’s son, Andrew Borgen, who serves as Vice President, works directly with customers to understand their needs and help identify practical chemical solutions for their specific applications. Ronbar also offers private-label opportunities and a variety of product sizes to accommodate customers ranging from individual businesses to distributors.
